An account at one casino does not automatically qualify or disqualify you for a sister brand’s welcome offer. Check how that particular offer defines a new customer, whether it names other brands, and whether your account history meets the operator’s rules. Permission to hold an account is a separate question from permission to claim a promotion.
We examined published UK account and promotional terms from Unibet, BetMGM and Mecca Games. The examples below show how to read the conditions; they are not a list of guaranteed bonuses or a check of your personal eligibility.
Which kind of existing customer are you?
“I already have an account” leaves out the most important detail: where. Start with the situation that matches yours.
| Your situation | The question to resolve | What is not enough |
|---|---|---|
| You already use the advertised brand | Is the promotion for existing customers, or only new customers? | Seeing the welcome banner again |
| You use a different sister brand | Does the offer’s new-customer definition include your history at that brand or group? | A different website address |
| You previously closed an account | Does the rule concern ever having an account, and why was it closed? | A new email address or a long gap |
| Your account was restricted or you are self-excluded | Which restrictions apply across the operator or scheme? | Being able to reach another brand’s registration page |
Scroll the table horizontally on smaller screens.
A sister brand should not be used to get around an exclusion or restriction. Resolve that account status before considering an offer.
Unibet: one account per brand is not a bonus promise
Section 8.1 of Unibet’s UK terms limits customers to one account with each brand. Section 23 deals separately with promotions: it incorporates promotional terms and limits each promotion to one per person.
These clauses answer different questions. The account rule is not evidence that every related brand owes you a welcome offer. Equally, the promotion limit should not be rewritten as a lifetime ban on every offer across the group without wording establishing that scope.
Account history can matter before the offer is considered. Section 4.2 includes earlier operator- or group-imposed account restrictions and closures, as well as self-exclusion. A different brand name does not erase those conditions.
For the separate question of logins, balances and shared restrictions, see our guide to sister-site accounts.
BetMGM: read the actual new-customer definition
The BetMGM UK promotional terms describe its casino welcome offer as available to new BetMGM players. They also incorporate the general account terms; the general promotion rules include household, computer and IP-address limits.
That wording identifies the destination brand. It does not, by itself, settle every existing LeoVegas customer’s eligibility. Read the full set of applicable conditions, including any named-brand exclusion, rather than extending one sentence into an unconditional yes or no.
The wording to look for is precise: does “new” mean new to this brand, to this product or to a named group? If the terms refer to associated brands, establish which brands that definition covers. A sister-site list can identify a relationship; it cannot supply a missing promotion rule.
BetMGM’s help page about promotional texts and emails tells customers who have already used the welcome offer to disregard a partner’s welcome-offer message. Receiving an advertisement does not make the same welcome offer available again.
An existing-customer promotion is a different offer
Being ineligible for a welcome offer does not establish that you are ineligible for every promotion. For example, BetMGM’s published Super Boost terms expressly include new and existing customers aged 18 or over with a valid account.
This is a sports offer, not a casino welcome bonus. The terms require selection of the boost for the specified event, apply a maximum stake shown on the betslip, exclude cash out and prohibit combining it with another offer. We use it here only to show an explicit existing-customer definition—not as a recommendation or a promise that a particular boost is currently available to you.
Use the customer definition attached to the promotion you are considering. Eligibility for one offer does not carry into a different product or campaign.
Mecca Games: eligibility does not make a bonus transferable
Section 16.4.2 of the Mecca Games terms restricts bonus use to that website or its associated mobile app. Section 16.2 also allows offers to be limited to particular customers.
The practical consequence is narrow: a Mecca Games bonus is not credit to take to Mecca Bingo merely because the brands are connected. Where a bonus can be used and who can receive it are two separate conditions.
Our Mecca Bingo sister-site comparison explains the brand relationship and the difference between its bingo-led and casino-led products.
What to check before committing money
Keep the offer name, exact website, date and relevant terms together. This makes it easier to identify which rule answered your question if a banner or campaign later changes.
- Customer scope. Find the definition of new or existing customer, any named related brands, and household or previous-claim restrictions.
- Account status. Check whether a previous closure, restriction or exclusion affects eligibility. Do not create a duplicate account to restart an offer.
- Qualifying action. Identify any required opt-in, deposit method, qualifying product and time limit. A successful deposit does not prove the promotion was activated.
- Reward conditions. Check the wagering base, game contributions, stake limits, expiry and withdrawal consequences. Eligibility alone says nothing about whether the conditions suit you.
If the cross-brand wording is unclear
Ask the destination operator a specific question before depositing: “I already hold an account at [brand] and previously claimed [offer]. Does that affect my eligibility for [exact offer] at [destination brand], and which clause applies?” Keep the reply with the terms.
Ask for clarification if the reply conflicts with the published conditions. A generic “new customers welcome” response does not resolve a question about a named existing account.

Your questions, answered
Can I claim a welcome bonus at every sister casino?
There is no universal entitlement. Each offer’s customer definition and applicable account conditions need to be checked. A shared operator alone cannot answer the question.
Does closing my old account make me a new customer?
Do not assume so. Check whether the offer refers to previous accounts or previous claims, and whether an operator-imposed closure affects account eligibility. Changing an email address does not change that history.
Does an invitation or welcome email prove I qualify?
No. An advertisement can reach someone who has already used the offer. The published customer conditions still apply; resolve any uncertainty before depositing.
Can I move a bonus to another site in the same group?
Only if the relevant terms expressly permit it. The Mecca Games example limits bonus use to its own website or associated app; a company connection does not create a transfer right.
